Tahiti’s Eddy Kaspard to miss semifinal clash against New Zealand

Tahiti’s national team will face a significant challenge in their upcoming OFC Nations Cup semifinal clash against New Zealand at Freshwater Stadium in Port Vila. The team will be without their key defender Eddy Kaspard, who is sidelined due to an injury.

Kaspard, who sustained a fracture during the match against Fiji, expressed his disappointment: “Yes, I’m doing okay, but unfortunately, I fractured my toe during the match against Fiji and won’t be able to play in the semifinals. My little toe is fractured, and my foot is swollen.”

The absence of Kaspard, a crucial part of Tahiti’s defense, will undoubtedly impact the team’s strategy as they prepare to face the formidable New Zealand side. In the most recent match of Tahiti, his replacement was Pothin Poma and it is expected the AS Dragon player keep its position for the clash against the All Whites.
