PREPARATORY FRIENDLIES:
Fiji played some preparation matches but the results are unknown.
GROUP STAGE MATCHES:
Fiji vs Tahiti (28 October 17:00)
Fiji vs Tonga (29 October 15:00)
Fiji vs Solomon Islands (30 October 17:00)
Fiji Futsal National Team’s biggest experience comes from the bench with head coach Mira Sahib and Technical Advisor Jerry Sam. Sahib played 2016 OFC Futsal Nations Cup for Fiji and Sam is a former Solomon Islands National Futsal Team head coach.
Most of the called-up players are well known because of field football but they also play in Fiji Futsal League. So it is better not taking them for granted because Fiji can be a surprise if they manage to beat Tahiti in the first match.
And they do believe they are able to be a very competitive team in this tournament as technical advisor Jerry Sam stated: βWe are on the right track, just this week is the final preparations for us. I think Fiji wonβt be an easy team to beat at the OFC. I know that this yearβs competition will be tough, thatβs why I have to train these boys and try my best to give my knowledge to them with the experience that I have in Futsal.“

With some experience in futsal the players are being slowly introduced to the game’s tactical aspects in order to play in a good level during the tournament.
In theory, Fiji is the third force of Group B behind Solomon Islands and Tahiti but they can prove they are capable to make tough matches against them.
