Lae City Dwellers changed its name to Toti City two years ago. Now Papua New Guinean team is changing its name again to Lae City FC (without Dwellers).
This change was made because OFC & FIFA would not accept Toti City FC at OFC Champions League tournament because Toti is a brand name.
Toti City won the 2019 National Soccer League after beating Hekari United in the penalty kicks in the final match. They have some important players that are also part of PNG National Team like Raymond Gunemba, Robert Warisan and Nigel Dabinyaba.
In the last Champions League Toti lost to Auckland City in the quarter finals after a 4-0 loss.
Lae City Dwellers/Toti City won the last five editions of Papua New Guinea Soccer League.
