After Oceania Football Center presented to the public the Papua New Guinean player Terry Stephenson, the football fans in the region got very interested to learn more about the 18-year old player. Stephenson currently plays at youth level in English 2nd tier side Middlesbrough. The player is eligible to represent Papua New Guinea internationally.

Oceania Football Center interviewed Stephenson in order to clarify if the player was interested to represent the country he was born. After the player mentioned he was eligible for the Kapuls, Papua New Guinea FA contacted Oceania Football Center in order to approach Stephenson.
According to Mr. Khanna, who contacted Oceania Football Center team after the news broke in the media, he said: “I contacted Terry and he has responded well. I have introduced him to our technical team. Our President is happy with the progress – he said Terry will be an asset for Kapuls team“.
Papua New Guinea finished the last edition of the OFC Nations Cup held in home soil at the 2nd place after losing the grand final for New Zealand in the penalty shootout. This year, in New Zealand, we will have another edition of the most important football competition of Oceania and Stephenson might be a very important addition for the Kapuls.
