Burnley’s head coach Sean Dyche confirmed that New Zealand international Chris Wood is not going to play against Manchester City on Monday. The 28-year-old striker has been hampered by an Achilles problem since returning to training after lockdown.
According to Dyche, Wood is not fit enough and he is not going to travel to Manchester to face The Citizens on Etihad Stadium.
Wood is Burnley’s top scorer in 2019-20 Premier League season with eleven goals scored in 26 matches.
