Nigel Dabinyaba is the first confirmed ommision for the Kapuls as they head for international friendly matches

In a setback for the Papua New Guinea national football team, it has been confirmed that Nigel Dabinyaba will be missing from the squad for the friendly matches against Singapore and Malaysia during the current FIFA international window. Dabinyaba, who is considered the team’s top striker, will be sorely missed in the upcoming matches.

The omission of Dabinyaba marks the first confirmed absence from the Papua New Guinea squad. He had been training with the national team in Port Moresby and was initially called up by coach Harrison Kamake. However, due to unforeseen family issues, the prolific striker from Gulf Komara, the last team he played for in the PNG National Soccer League, had to travel back to his hometown of Lae.

The Papua New Guinea Football Association is yet to issue the final list of players for the friendly matches in Asia. However, it has been confirmed that Nigel Dabinyaba will not be part of the squad. His absence will undoubtedly be a blow to the team’s attacking prowess, as he has been a key contributor in the past.

The friendly matches against Singapore and Malaysia present valuable opportunities for Papua New Guinea to gain international experience and test their abilities against strong opposition. It will be a challenge for the team to perform at their best without their top striker, but they will undoubtedly give their all in his absence.
