Farewell: Vanuatu internationals Lency Philip and Tasso Jeffrey to return home after successful season in Australia

In a poignant moment for Gawler Eagles Football Club and its devoted fan base, Vanuatu international stars Lency Philip and Tasso Jeffrey have officially bid adieu to the club following the conclusion of the NPL South Australia State 3 League season. The farewell comes after the senior side’s exit from the 2023 finals due to a 1-3 loss against the Western Strikers at Croyden’s Regency Park last 19th August.

Despite an impressive season and a valiant performance that led them to qualify for the playoffs, the Eagles’ dreams of promotion were dashed with the recent defeat. Throughout the season, Lency Philip and Tasso Jeffrey’s contributions on and off the field were instrumental in guiding the team to the playoffs, earning them a well-deserved reputation among the local football community.

The dynamic partnership between Philip and Tasso became a driving force for the Eagles, exemplifying sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience.
