Papua New Guinean players selected for ISPS Handa Permiership Team of the Week

After a long delay, New Zealand Football released the ISPS Handa Premiership Team of the Week 8 with great news for Papua New Guinea once there are two players from PNG in the list: Aaron Spain and Tommy Semmy.

Both players had outstanding performances in the last matchweek of 2019. Semmy was a key player for Hamilton Wanderers in the 2-1 win against Hawke’s Bay United while Aaron Spain had a solid match in Team Wellington’s 1-1 draw against Waitakere United.

After a bad beginning, Tommy Semmy is getting better and better to help his team to fight for points and climb the ladder as Hamilton Wanderers stand in the 10th and last position in the table. Aaron Spain is playing an important role in second placed Team Wellington’s defense.
