Martin Bueno: Eastern Suburbs’ Uruguayan firepower

The Eastern Suburbs are going to play OFC Champions League for the first time ever. The New Zealand side is drawn in the group A alongside with Hekari United from Papua New Guinea, Galaxy FC from Vanuatu and current Champions League winners Hienghène Sport from New Caledonia.

It is going to be a challengeful pool for the Suburbs but they are ready for the challenge as they have a very good squad, specially in the attack as they have the Uruguayan striker Martin Bueno.

Bueno is a tall and strong striker and he has already proven his quality in New Zealand. After playing in a high level for Hamilton Wanderers in the 2018-2019 season he arrived to Eastern Suburbs last year to play 2019-20 ISPS Handa Premiership after being linked with some overseas clubs as he revealed in an exclusive interview with Oceania Football Center.

In the meantime he played the Winter Football Season for Napier City Rovers and he played an important role in the team, helping the Rovers to win the 2019 Chatham Cup.

He is one of the current top scorers of the main football league in New Zealand with 10 goals in 12 matches and the Uruguayan is ready to bother the opposite defenders with his quality and strenght.
