Solomon Islands international Atkin Kaua has recently been on trials with football clubs from Malta in Europe. After returning to Oceania, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder joined Nasinu from Fiji to play 2020 Vodafone Premier League, the top-tier of Fijian football.
Despite losing in his debut match for Nasinu, Kaua had a very good start as he scored a hat-trick in the 4-3 loss against Rewa and gave some hope to Giant Killers’ fans.

Nasinu played five matches in the league before COVID-19 forced the football activities to stop in Fiji. Currently in the sixth position with four points, the Giant Killers want something bigger – “We expect to have a good performance when the league resumes. We want to finish in a good position,” said Kaua.
Vodafone Premier League season is currently set to resume in July. However most teams have not resumed training yet – “We will start training soon,” revealed the Solomon Islands international.
That is Nasinu’s second straight season in Fijian top-tier league. Last season they finished in the sixth position with thirteen points – just one point ahead last placed Tavua that was relegated to 2020 Vodafone Senior League.
