HJK faced KuPS at Savon Sanomat Areena in Kuopio in the eighth matchweek of 2020 Veikkausliga – the top-tier of Finnish football. This match marked the return of Papua New Guinea international David Browne to the main squad after one month.
The 24-year-old forward came from the bench in the 62nd minute to replace Riku Riski. Browne recently played 45 minutes for HJK’s second team in the third division of local football. Tim Väyrynen, Roope Riski and Riku Riski scored one goal each to seal the 3-0 win against KuPS.
