Soromon and Tangis lead Port Vila FA as VFF National League kicks-off in Vanuatu

VFF National League Championship started in Vanuatu as two matches were contested at Korman Stadium in Port Vila – the capital of the country. Eight teams – one from each member association – are split in two groups with four teams each to fight for the national title.

In the opening match of the Group B, Malampa FA faced Shefa FA. Kerry Iawak opened the scoreboard for Malampa in the 24th minute after a confusion in the box but Shefa managed to equalize in the second half with a goal scored by Tonly Kalotang. At the final whistle the score was a 1-1 draw.

The second match of the day was contested between Port Vila FA and Tafea FA. Azariah Soromon opened the scoreboard for Port Vila FA in the 37th minute after a nice cross by Kensi Tangis. In the second half, angis made a perfect tackle in the midfield and he passed the ball to Soromon who extended the lead in the 75th minute. Tafea FA found the net two minutes later with a goal scored by Noah Roger.

Kensi Tangis was on fire. After delivering two amazing assists to Azariah Soromon he scored a beautiful goal in the 85th minute. Figo Loughman scored for Tafea FA five minutes later with a good shot from outside the box.
