The 2020-21 Ligue 1 VINI has just started but current league champions AS Pirae are already showing that they are going to fight on top once again as they demolished AS Excelsior by 12-1 at Stade Pater in the third matchweek of the season.
After finishing the first half ahead by four goals, the title holders had an even easier life in the second half to score eight goals. AS Excelsior’s only goal was an own goal netted by Jonathan Torohia in the final minutes of the clash.
Powerful striker Sandro Tau scored a hat-trick while his teammates Benoit Mathon, Gervais Chan Kat, Heirauarii Salem and Raimana Li Fung Kuee scored twice each. The remaining goal was scored by Roonui Tinirauarii.
AS Pirae are currently in the second position with ten points in three matches.
