After finishing Telekom S-League’s first round in the second position, Laugu United now have to deal with the absence of local star Gagame Feni who left the team to join Solomon Warriors – a transfer that upset Laugu supporters.
The team coached by Paul Kakai came to the pitch to show that they are still capable of fighting for a spot in the next OFC Champions League, but the first impression left by the team was not so good. Former Kossa’s forward Ian Paia headed the ball into the net to open the scoreboard for Laugu in the eleventh minute.
Real Kakamora’s forward Adrian Mara was fouled inside the box in the final minutes of the first half and team captain Paul Hiri scored from the penalty spot to equalize. Mara was the hero of the day as he scored a late goal to give his side a surprising win.

With this result, Real Kakamora reached the seventh position in the league table with fourteen points while Laugu are still in second with 23 points in eleven matches. You can check 2020 Telekom S-League standings, results and top scorers by clicking here.
