One of the most important championships in Fiji, the Vodafone Fiji FACT kicks-off this weekend. It is going to be the last tournament of the season for the top eight teams in the country, which means that it is the last opportunity for many players to show their skills this year.
This tournament is also a great opportunity for Rewa to finish the season by lifting their second trophy in the season. The Delta Tigers are living a blessed year, as they won Battle of the Giants and finished second in Vodafone Premier League in 2020: “It was a wonderful season for us,” stated Tevita Waranaivalu, one of Rewa’s key players – “We expect to end the season on a high note, trying to win the Fiji FACT,” he added.

Rewa’s players had no pressure to win Battle of the Giants this year, as head coach Marika Rodu made it clear that their main focus was on winning the national league. Now that the league is over, Rodu and his players could feel an extra pressure for Fiji FACT, but it is not happening: “There is no big pressure on us. We are going to this tournament with a clear mind and looking forward to what coach Marika Rodu has for us,” explained Waranaivalu.
The Delta Tigers are drawn in the Group A along with Ba, Labasa and Nasinu. Their first match will be against Labasa at ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday. You can check more information about 2020 Fiji FACT by clicking here.
