In an exciting Digicel Fiji Premier League clash, Tailevu Naitasiri secured a historic 1-0 victory over Ba FC at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori. The win marks the first-ever victory for Tailevu Naitasiri against Ba, the most successful club in Fiji.

This was the third win of the season for the Tagi Vonolagi coached team, who currently sit in the eighth position in the league standings.
Although Ba FC was missing some of their key players, including Nabil Begg, who is with the Fiji U-20 side for the World Cup, the win is an important feat for Tailevu Naitasiri. Assistant coach Priyant Mannu expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating that “It is a great win. Much needed as it is a morale booster for this young set of boys. We are capable of doing wonders. It’s just the boys need to be committed and take each game seriously. Sometimes composure and experience are where we lack.”

Mannu also praised the recent addition to the squad, the Solomon Islands international Carlos Liomasia, saying that “he’s been a great inclusion for the team, leading by example. Great ball skills and workrate.”
The victory over Ba FC is a significant achievement for Tailevu Naitasiri and will undoubtedly boost their confidence as they look to climb up the league standings. The team will be hoping to build on this success and continue to perform at a high level in the coming matches.
