Vanuatu players receive significant bonuses for OFC Nations Cup historic performance

Vanuatu’s national football team players have received substantial financial rewards for their performance in the OFC Nations Cup. Each player was awarded VT190,000 for their efforts, as reported by the Vanuatu Daily Post. The value converted into US Dollars is around U$ 1.580.

“The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) confirmed the payment as a recognition of the players’ hard work and commitment during the competition,” stated the Vanuatu Daily Post. The bonuses are seen as a significant gesture to boost the morale and motivation of the team as they prepare for future tournaments. It was added that “the payments were sourced through the sponsorship from Prince Albert II of Monaco facilitated by the Ministry of Finance, and the Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF)“.

The financial reward was facilitated by the government, acknowledging the team’s impressive display at the Nations Cup. “The Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Tomker Netvunei, expressed his gratitude towards the players for their dedication and hard work,” noted the Vanuatu Daily Post.
