Solomon Kings retain Lofthouse and Higashide as Australian defender Krayem joins for 2027

Solomon Kings FC have completed their latest round of squad announcements ahead of the 2027 OFC Pro League season, confirming the return of attacking midfielder Jez Lofthouse and Japanese player Sota Higashide alongside the arrival of Australian defender Jacob Krayem.

Lofthouse, who wore the number 10 shirt during the club’s inaugural campaign, has committed to another season after establishing himself as an important creative presence in the Solomon Kings midfield. The attacking midfielder was among the competition’s leading players in several attacking metrics, ranking second for successful dribbles and fourth for key passes, according to figures previously published by the OFC Pro League.

The club also confirmed that Higashide will continue wearing number 27. The Japanese player became a familiar figure among Solomon Kings supporters during the first season and will remain part of the squad as the team prepares for its second campaign.

The only newcomer among the three announcements is Jacob Krayem, an Australian centre-back who arrives after representing South Island United in New Zealand during the 2026 season.

Before moving to New Zealand, Krayem spent eight seasons with Wynnum Wolves FC in Australia, making more than 130 senior league appearances and serving as club captain. His earlier football development included spells with Saint Eagles Souths and North Queensland Fury.

Krayem will wear the number 24 shirt and brings experience from two different football environments to a Solomon Kings defensive unit preparing for another season of regional competition.

The announcements also underline the club’s emphasis on continuity. By retaining Lofthouse and Higashide, Solomon Kings preserve two familiar members of their inaugural squad while strengthening their defensive options through Krayem’s arrival.

Solomon Kings described the announcements as the conclusion of their squad presentation process for the upcoming campaign, signalling that the club’s preparations for the 2027 OFC Pro League are entering another stage.
