Hawai’i joins CONIFA

Hawai’i is an archipelago located in the Pacific Ocean that belongs to United States of America. The state encompasses nearly the entire Hawaiian archipelago, 137 islands spread over 1,500 miles (2,400 km). The volcanic archipelago is physiographically and ethnologically part of the Polynesian subregion of Oceania.

Hui Kanaka Pōwāwae (local football association) joined Confederation of Independent Football Associations on 28 November 2019, being the fifth member from Oceania in CONIFA, with Kiribati, Mariya, Tuvalu and West Papua.
