Papua New Guinea has the second best National Women’s Football Team in Oceania, behind New Zealand only and having a national league will help to strengthen the national team: “We are keen to ensure gender balance is achieved and given priority after years of neglect,” said Kapi Natto.

The Women’s National Team from Papua New Guinea won all five editions of the Pacific Games women’s football championship. Oceania Football Center congratulate PNG Football Association for the women league’s revival.
