The ninth matchweek of Telekom S-League – the national football league from the Solomon Islands – was a very good one for the top teams of the table as they won their respective matches to keep their positions.
Laugu United faced Marist FC and it was not a very difficult challenge for them. Mathias Iani, Atkin Kaua and Jeffery Bule found the net once each as Laugu have beaten their opponents by 3-0 while the second clash was a very interesting one between current league champions Solomon Warriors and Central Coast FC.

Warriors faced some difficulties throughout the match as Central Coast showed their organisation inside the pitch to hold their opponents. However Lency Norman and Tigi Molea scored once each as the title holders managed to score two goals in the second half to beat Central Coast by 2-0.
Despite having won their respective matches, Warriors and Laugu are still far away from league leaders Henderson Eels that smashed Malaita Kingz by 15-0 on Saturday. You can check the current Telekom S-League standings, results and top scorers by clicking here.
