Bua and Nadroga clashed at Subrail Park in Labasa this Saturday in the first leg of the play-off that is going to decide which team will be promoted to Vodafone Premier League, the top tier football league from Fiji.
Powerful midfielder Leisari Qalica opened the scoreboard for Nadroga while his teammate Waisea Tale extended the lead in the 36th minute to give the Stallions a comfortable advantage before half-time. Veteran striker Osea Vakatalesau scored Nadroga’s third and last goal of the game in the 56th minute
Despite the important win, Nadroga’s mission is not over yet as they need to stay focused on being promoted to Premier League as Bua will surely come stronger for the next match.
