After finishing fifth last season, Hamilton Wanderers want more this time. The good news for the team coached by Kale Herbert is that key players like Derek Tieku and Tommy Semmy, who were selected for ‘2019-20 ISPS Handa Permiership’s Team of the Season’, remained in the squad for 2020-21.
Since 2017 at the club, Semmy is going to play his fourth ISPS Handa Premiership’s season for Wanderers. The 26-year-old winger from Papua New Guinea, who scored four goals in 2019-20, will have the mission to score a good amount of goals and help his team finish in the top four for the first time ever.
Since his arrival in New Zealand, Semmy has scored 21 goals in 47 games at the ISPS Handa Premiership, making him the Papua New Guinean with the most goals scored in the competition’s history.
Semmy has already proven his quality in New Zealand and Kale Herbert does count on him. Their first challenge of the season will be against Hawke’s Bay United this Sunday. You can check the full schedule of 2020-21 ISPS Handa Premiership by clicking here.
