Hamilton Wanderers continue at the top of the 2020/21 ISPS Handa Premiership, but they had to battle hard against the Wellington Phoenix Reserves this Sunday in order to save something from the game. A very good performance of WeeNix frustrated the powerful Wanderers’ frontline that managed to get a point from the game at Porritt Stadium.
Phoenix too the lead already close to the 80th minute mark thanks to a counter-attack well finished by the young striker Riley Bidois. But the Papua New Guinean Tommy Semmy saved the day for Hamilton Wanderers netting a cold-blooded penalty already at the 94th minute – watch here the finish from Semmy.

This was the second goal of Semmy in the season, the player recently reached the 50th game mark in New Zealand’s top-tier league and also was chosen in the ‘Team of the Month’ of the Premiership last month. Wanderers has now 10 points in the run and stands at the top of the league after the 1-1 home draw against WeeNix.
