Vanuatu and the Cook Islands are out of the World Cup qualifiers. According to local resources, both sides had a large number of positive cases of COVID-19 in their squads which forced them to leave the tournament.

It was reported by Vanuatu Football Federation that the vast majority of their players and officials have tested positive for COVID-19, evidenced by a PCR Test. Also, the tournament regulation states that a match cannot be contested if a team does not have 14 available players.

The Cook Islands also had several positive cases of COVID-19 after the match against Solomon Islands which makes them unable to play against Tahiti this weekend.

Solomon Islands and Tahiti advance to the semifinals and must decide between themselves who finishes first in their group.
