Fiji and New Caledonia clashed last friday in Doha and the Bula Boys earned three important points aiming the semifinals of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The team coached by Flemming Serritslev opened the scoreboard in the first minutes of the game when Sairusi Nalaubu found the net after stealing the ball from New Caledonia’s defender Joel Wakanumune.

Fiji managed to keep the advantage until the second half when New Caledonian forward Jordan Wetria arose between two Fijian defenders in the 78th minute to head the ball into the net to equalize.
The game was heading towards its end when Roy Krishna, on a free-kick, found the head of Sairusi Nalaubu who scored his second goal of the day to put his side ahead again. At the final whistle the score was 2-1 in favor of Fiji. You can watch the goals by clicking here.
