Recently, Oceania Football Center stated the Solomon Islands duo-international Micah Lea’alafa was close to finishing a deal to return to Australian football after a very good stint with Wynnum Wolves FC. The deal is officialy finished and the 31-year-old striker is confirmed as new player of FK Beograd in Adealaide, Australia.

The player stepped up in his career as he will now play at the highest level of the National Premier League, in the South Australia region for the top-tier club FK Beograd. The club’s head coach is Joshua Smith, former Technical Director of Vanuatu Football Federation. The squad also counts on Vanuatu international defender Jared Clark.
The season started last weekend for Beograd that recorded a 2-2 draw against Modbury Jets. According to Smith, Lea’alafa is not at full fitness yet: “Micah is not not fit yet, but he will be in the squad next week“, said the head coach. Micah Lea’alafa‘s new team next match is against MetroStars this Saturday (25h Feb) – a potential debut for the Solomon Islands national team captain might be ahead.
