Warriors and Laugu ready for a huge clash as Eels aim another win in Telekom S-League

Solomon Warriors and Laugu will have the opportunity to clash in a very exciting match in the fight for the second position while current league leaders Henderson Eels will clash against fifth placed Kossa in Telekom S-League – the major football league from the Solomon Islands.

Honiara City and Central Coast will come to the pitch on this Saturday to open the eighth matchweek of Telekom S-League. After losing two matches in a row, Honiara City need to get back on track against a very well organised Central Coast that have not lost any match in September. While Honiara City rely on key players like Alick Solo, Anthony Talo, Junior Annie and Moffat Kilifa, Central Coast’s head coach Jacob Moli is going to count on his rising stars Densly Geseni, Javin Wae and Philip Ropa to fight for three more points in the league.

The second match of the week is the awaited clash between Solomon Warriors and Laugu United and both teams are going to play all-out in this clash. While Laugu United will count on their star Gagame Feni, Solomon Warriors’ head coach William Omokirio can finally count on Tigi Molea who is cleared to debut in the season after being suspended for assaulting an opponent last season. On the other hand, Molis Junior Gagame saw the red card last week which means that he is not going to play today. The winner of this match will surely take a big step towards the title race.

After losing to Warriors in the last week, Isabel United want to grab all three points against Marist FC that lost their last two matches in the season. Despite showing some improvement, Isabel still need to work the extra mile if they want to fight for something this season. The team led by legendary forward Benjamin Totori does have to win this weekend but they are not going to have an easy day against Marist.

Kossa FC are living a good moment in the league. The team coached by Fred Osifelo won their last to matches and now they have a tough challenge against league leaders Henderson Eels. While Kossa’s staff had to push player to be ready mentally and physically for the clash, Eels want to keep their advantage on top of the table. It is going to be an interesting match as Kossa FC count on a very good staff that prepared the team for this clash.

The final game of the week will be contested between Real Kakamora and Malaita Kingz on Wednesday. Both teams do need to win this match but Kakamora are surely the favourites as Kingz have not shown anything so far in the season. It would not be a surprise if the team coached by Michael Alafa loses again to remain on bottom of the table with no points.

Another team that is living a terrible moment is Southern United that will not play this week which means that head coach Stanley Waita will have plenty of time to organise the team for the remainder of the season.
