After 315 days, Micah Lea’alafa played an official football match again. The 29-year-old winger made his debut for Solomon Warriors against Marist FC in the thirteenth matchweek of 2020-21 Telekom S-League, the national football league from the Solomon Islands.
Lea’alafa came from the bench in the 83rd minute to replace Molis Junior Gagam. Although he only played a few minutes, he showed his quality and made the fans happy, as most of them came to Lawson Tama Stadium eager to see Micah playing again.

He had not played an official match since January 8, when his former team Maritzburg United faced SuperSport United in ABSA Premiership, the top tier league from South Africa. Lea’alafa left Maritzburg in February and since then he has been dedicated to helping the development of football in his home country.
Warriors defeated Marist by 5-3 with three goals scored by Gagame Feni. They are currently in the fourth position in 2020-21 Telekom S-League with 22 points.. You can check the current league standings, results and top scorers by clicking here.
