In the 2012/13 OFC Champions League, Issa scored nine goals in eight matches when playing for another Fijian team, Ba. In that edition, the striker helped Ba to reach the semifinal stage – they ended up being knocked-out by Auckland City.

The Nigerian has a succesful story in Oceania football; playing OFC Champions League editions for both Ba and also former Vanuatu’s powerhouse Amicale. In New Zealand Issa played for a number of clubs, including Manukau United, Waitakere United and Coastal Spirit.
