Bua and Nadroga ready to clash for a spot in 2021 Vodafone Premier League

The 2020 season of Fijian football is coming to an end, but there is still much to be decided, such as the fight for a spot in 2021 Vodafone Premier League. Bua and Nadroga are set to play a two-legged play-off to decide which team will be promoted to the national top tier league.

Still undefeated this year, Nadroga are having a fantastic season. The Stallions recently won the Inter-District Championship title and they are the big favorites to win this play-off to secure a spot in the next Vodafone Premier League.

On the other hand, Bua is the biggest surprise of the season. Despite facing financial problems, the orange team reached the Inter-District Championship final and is now one step away from making history in Fijian football.

Malampa Revivors announce new kits for VFF National Super League’s semifinals

After finishing VFF 2020 National Super League’s Group A in the first position, Malampa Revivors announced their new kits, which must be used for the first time in the semifinals of VFF National Super League, the national football league of Vanuatu.

Blue and white remain as the main colours on Revivors’ shirts, which now have Classic Printers – a digital printing company from Port Vila – as sponsor.

Galaxy FC debut with a win in the VFF National Super League in Vanuatu

Galaxy FC and LL Echo clashed at Port Vila Stadium in the second matchday of VFF National Super League’s Group B. While LL Echo could secure a spot in the semi-finals with a draw, Galaxy wanted to win all the points to have a good start in the competition.

As it was previously reported, eight new players joined Galaxy FC – and three of these eight were in the starting eleven LL Echo: Andre Batick, Raoul Coulon and Tasso Jeffery. However, it was Kensi Tangis – who is well known by Galaxy’s supporters – who opened the scoreboard in the 20th minute.

LL Echo worked hard to hold their opponents, but they could not find the net to equalize. Things got easier for Galaxy in the second half when Andre Batick scored his first ever goal for the blue team to extend their lead. A few minutes later, Brazilian star Roberson also managed to find the net to seal Galaxy’s 3-0 win.

With this victory, Galaxy took the lead of the group, while LL Echo are in second position. The next – and last – match of Group B will be contested between Galaxy and Iwoka FC this Saturday. Big wins mark AS Dragon’s start in 2020-21 Ligue 1 VINI

Vanuatu: PVFA announces important changes for the next Premier League season

After the election of a new Executive Committee, the Port Vila Football Association (PVFA) came to the public to announce that important changes will take place for the next season of the PVFA Premier League.

The first big change will be in the number of teams that will compete in the championship: from eight to ten, which means that no team has been relegated this season, while North Efate United and Seveners United are expected to contest 2020-21 PVFA Premier League.

The second – and no less important – change determines the extinction of the PVFA Top Four, a knockout tournament that was contested by the top four of the PVFA Premier League after the regular season. With this change, the spot at VFF National Super League will no longer be given to the Top Four champion, but to the PVFA Premier League champion.

Hinge is an experienced footballer and his arrival surely strengthens Ifira Black Bird’ squad. The 28-year-old defender was playing for Yatel FC before joining his new club. He is already known by Ifira’s fans and staff as he played there in 2017.

Absolom Wawane set to join Kingz for Telekom S-League’s second round

Absolom Wawane is a 19-year-old defender who last played for Hollington United FC in the 9th tier of English football. He is already known by Malaita Kingz’s fans as he played there before moving to England. According to Talo, they are waiting for the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from English FA to confirm the transfer.

Wawane is currently in quarantine along with other Royals Academy players who arrived from England this week. It would not be a surprise if we see more players from Royals Academy joining Malaita Kingz for the rest of the season, which would be very good for the team coached by Rence Talo.
